Kanae Kocho | Kimetsu no Yaiba Wiki | Fandom Kanao Tsuyuri adalah salah satu karakter pendukung utama dalam serial Kimetsu no Yaiba. Dia merupakan anggota Korps Pembasmi Iblis yang berhasil lolos seleksi bersamaan dengan Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, dan Genya. Kanao ternyata merupakan adik angkat Shinobu Kocho dan Kanae Kocho. Kanao diselamatkan oleh kedua kakak angkatnya dari kehidupan yang penuh penderitaan karena diabaikan dan disiksa oleh orang tua kandungnya. Kanae took an interest in Kanao when she saw her being led away as a slave on the bridge. Along with her sister Shinobu, they purchased Kanao from her master and trained her within the Butterfly Mansion. Kanae defended Kanao when Shinobu worried about her indecisiveness and said that if given time, Kanao's heart could blossom. She was the person who gave Kanao the coin she uses to make decisions whenever she is unable to decide things for herself. Shinobu was born as the youngest daughter within the Kocho household, living alongside her mother, father, and older sister Kanae Kocho. She was raised in a loving and caring household, until her parents were slaughtered by Demons right before her and her sister's eyes. After Kanae's death, Shinobu took on the mantle of Insect Hashira, the most powerful swordsman in Demon Slayer Corps, and taught Kanao and other young Demon Slayers. The spirits of Kanae and Shinobu appear in Kanao's memories and give their blessings to her. In the afterlife, Kanae reunites with Shinobu, while Kanao continues to carry on the legacy of her two sisters. Kanae dan Shinobu memainkan peran penting dalam hidup Kanao dan dalam perjuangan melawan iblis. Mereka ada di sana untuk melindungi, membimbing dan mengajarinya caranya menjadi seorang pembasmi iblis yang kuat.
